About Hugger Industries

We make lifestyle blogs for outdoor sports enthusiasts.

A “Hugger” is someone whose lifestyle revolves around a sport, who is transfixed by gear shopping, who builds arsenals of equipment, and who spends the week training for the weekend (if they haven’t rearranged their lives to do their sport full-time).

We run Bike Hugger and Snow Hugger and have more Huggers on the way.

In June of 2006, Byron wanted to spend more of his energy on his passion: cycling. So, he started Bike Hugger with the idea that it might attract a community of cycling enthusiasts. He enlisted a few other fanatics and started posting. Less than a year later, traffic grew and so did sales of two related consumer products: Clip-n-Seal and T-shirts.

In November of 2006, Jason launched Snow Hugger with the same idea and now he and a few friends spend their time blogging to support their ski and snowboard habits.

As Huggers ourselves, we live for this stuff and we think we’ve barely tapped a larger audience. We know people have these passions but they’re often sidelines. Blogging and the Hugger family of blogs has allowed us to put those passions up front and to share them.

Share them with us on the Bike and Snow Huggers.

Clip-n-Seal

During the dotcom doldrums, Byron invented Clip-n-Seal and built it into a thriving business with a blog. That success led to speaking, a book, and a consulting business teaching other businesses how to blog. Clip-n-Seal is a unique bag closure device in use in homes, businesses, and even outer space!

Textura Design

Founded in 1997, Textura Design Inc. (TDI) started as a group of creative professionals exploring art and technology. Over the years, TDI’s work expanded to include web design for clients, the development of new consumer products, and business blogging. TDI’s Principal, DL Byron, is a sought-after speaker and author of Publish & Prosper: Blogging for Your Business.

In 2007, TDI turned ten years old and the corporation was split into two divisions: blog consultants and Hugger Industries. Read more about business blogging on the TDI blog and please contact us to discuss Hugger Industries more.
